Join the SOS club for a leisurely ride through the Skagit County tulip fields. We’ll meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Conway Skagit Red Barn Gas & Deli on the corner of Old Highway 99 and Fir Island Road just off I5, exit 221. We can have coffee and roll out at 9:00 a.m.
We’ll tiptoe through the tulips with stops at Roozengaarde’s, Tulip Town and Snow Goose Produce. Lots of opportunities to look around, admire the fabulous view and take pictures.
We’ll stop for lunch at a location still to be determined.
Depending on traffic, we can probably count on a four hour ride, including planned stops.

Meet at the Copper Hog (1327 N. State St) @ 5:30pm, ride departs @ 6:30pm. Hopefully a northern route, approximately a 90 minute ride.

Our monthly meeting is one hour earlier @ 9am – the usual haunt. This will be a rally planning meeting to work out the kinks and make some decisions, everyone’s presence is requested. The meeting will be followed by a long ride to firm up the route for the rally, find a midway rest spot, and to get the club familiar with the route.

The tempurature is supposed to be awesome, breaking 60 degress for the first time this year, hence the referrence to mercury.
DEPARTURE: 11AM From 76 station in Fairhaven
RIDE: Down Chuckanut, stop at The Farm to Market Bakery, and or the Long Horn Saloon, and proceed south for tulip spotting (hopefully), return route via Bow Hill / Lake Samish.
Break out the summer riding gear, dust off your scoot and come along for a fun, warm, scoot outing.

Bringing the project bikes out for the 2009 season, Chispa is hosting a show and shine contest to bring in exciting scoots from around the northern sound, including Bellingham, Victoria, Seattle, Vancouver, and all the towns in between. The event will have the contest, rides, food and entertainment in conjunction with Dirty Dan Days in Fairhaven. There will be events Saturday and Sunday.
Special prizes to the best steam punk scooter (think Victorian not rat)!!
